With close to 50 modifieds on hand, making a transfer spot would be tough. A 2nd place finish in the heat would make for a good starting spot in A, but a broke fan belt would cause an early pit for repairs. After passing several cars, a rough track would cause a broken j-bar and force a 15th place finish.
