With the 1R machine sidelined with engine problems, Matt would get the chance to drive the Joes Karting #25 b-mod of Buddy Ray Jones at Clarke County Speedway. Matt would line up in the feature next to last, but waste no time working to the front. The 25 machine would get close to race winner and pressure him for the lead, but have to settle for 2nd.
